Benefits of Steel Cut Oats
I love steel cut oats! I have them every morning and generally make a large enough batch that allows me to keep it in the fridge to warm up every morning. They are a great source of fiber and minerals. Since they are low on the glycemic index they are great for weight loss and for diabetics. They are also linked to a decrease in heart disease risk and blood pressure control.
Go Raw! Even healthier!
Imagine my surprise when I found this recipe for OVERNIGHT steel cut oats!
No cooking necessary. And the ingredients. Well, to die for. This recipe comes from www.runningtothekitchen.com The site has lots of dairy free recipes.
So glad I found it! This one can be eaten raw, or you can warm it up in the microwave for a quick breakfast. The addition of the chia seeds gives you extra protein and the ginger extra energy. Give it a try!
