Diets That Work? Here’s A Tip…Most of Them Don’t

When people start thinking about losing weight they seem to automatically think about dieting. Is there a more negative sounding word in the English language? I don’t think so. I for one have tried a variety of diets in my lifetime and there wasn’t one that I can say made me feel good or happy. Not a one. I did manage to lose weight but as soon as I stopped the diet, all those pounds found me again! And I was back to being overweight and miserable. What can I say? I LOVE to eat! Eating is important to me. So I needed to find a way to lose weight and still keep eating!

It wasn’t until I changed my focus to becoming healthy by eating healthy that my life changed. For me “eating healthy” meant eating lean and clean. i.e. lean meats and whole foods. I focused my lean and clean eating on low glycemic foods and that made all the difference! What happened next surprised me.

I ate all the time.
I started to lose weight.
I had more energy.
I felt younger.
My joints stopped hurting.

Now eight years later I am still at my goal weight and as I turn 66 I feel better than I did when I was 56 and I’m doing more!

So if weight loss is your goal. Forget the diet! Eat healthy in such a way that you will not only lose weight but gain a host of other health benefits as well.

  1. Excellent information. Metabolic rate also plays a big role when we speak about the human body and how to lose belly fat after baby. Anyway, interesting thoughts. Have a great day.
